"Cold Canyon Shadows"
We don't get many heavy snows in the Texas Panhandle. They're usually here one day and gone the next. In this painting, I wanted to show the contrast between the cool snow and the warm red-orange clay. The setting for this painting is our family's canyon.

"Grandpa's Idea"
This Grandpa is sure his grandson will have a great time going down this steep hill. The grandson is not so sure___neither is his dog.

"Five Cold Miles To Coffee"
Cowboys don't get to stop work just because of the weather. This cowboy is bringing in his cattle, but his mind is on a hot cup of coffee. This painting was commissioned by Beef Magazine and appeared on their cover and was sold as a limited edition print.

"Here Comes Santa"
With Christmas over, my Cowboy Santa is ready to have some fun. Leanin' Tree Christmas Cards asked me to do this painting, and they told me to put as much joy in it as possible. Anybody who knew George McSpadden (my model) knows that he was full of joy. I guess it worked because it's been a very successful card, and has appeared on four magazine covers.

"Grandma Thinks I Like It"
Here's a painting where the title says it all. This young cowboy is over-loaded with fruitcake from his grandmother, and I don't think his horse and dog are going to help him get rid of it. I personally love fruitcake, but I know a lot of people don't. What are y'alls thoughts?

"All Tracks Lead Home For The Holidays"
Having been blessed with a large family, Jeanne and I always look forward to a house full of relatives for the holidays. There's nothing like days full of games, food and fun with those we love. I'm very thankful that every member of our family adores every other member. We are blessed. May you all have a wonderful new year.

"The Christmas Star"
This cowboy has just shared with his daughter the story of the Christmas Star so she wanted to ride out on Christmas Eve to see if she could find it. I used my son Joshua and granddaughter Roonie for my models. Any time I use family members for models, it's a win-win. I don't have to pay them, and I know my wife Jeanne will love the painting. I was blessed to have this painting appear on the cover of Western Horseman Magazine. Merry Christmas Everybody!

"New Boots For Christmas"
Looks like someone is getting a new pair of boots for Christmas. I believe it's a lady, those look pretty feminine. This painting was commissioned by Boot Barn. I did paintings for their Christmas promotions for years. Merry Christmas Everybody!

"Santa's Big Ride"
The Cowboy Santa is in a rush to deliver all his presents in time. This has been one of my most popular Leanin' Tree Christmas cards and has appeared on several magazine covers. Merry Christmas everybody!

"The Homecoming"
This painting like most of mine, has a back-story. This father informed his daughter that he had to be away from home the week of Christmas, but he promised he would return before Christmas Eve. Each day, she would stare out the windows looking for her dad and tonight, he finally arrived. Merry Christmas everybody! This print is available in our store.
