"Race To The Way Station"
Here's another stagecoach in the middle of a running battle. If the driver can keep ahead of this war party, he has a good chance of making it to the way station. I believe they will.

"Through The Aspen"
My wife Jeanne and I have enjoyed countless hours riding through the aspens in Red River, New Mexico. There is something hypnotizing about riding through those constantly quaking leaves. Once, when my youngest son was about seven, his horse spooked and ran away with him. We ducked and dodged the aspens for a couple of hundred yards before I was able to catch him and grab his reins. I may paint that one day.

"Navajo Shadows"
This Navajo is reminded of his ancestors and their heritage in beautiful Monument Valley. I was blessed to spend a full-day from sunrise till dark riding through all the back canyons of Monument Valley with a Navajo guide. It's a day I'll never forget.

"She'll Love These"
Every young cowboy enjoys gathering wildflowers for his mom's table. I know I did and Momma always smiled when she saw me riding in with a handful. Happy Mothers Day Everybody!

"The Thunder Of White Water"
I love to paint waterfalls and have done so many times. When my daughter lived in North Carolina, I had the chance to visit dozens of them. Although most of my work is set west of the Mississippi, it's nice occasionally to paint other parts of our great nation.

"Scouting The Canyon Below"
This cowboy is intently watching the canyon below. Is he hunting? Is he followed? Is he traveling through enemy land and is just being cautious? He has that "Yellow Boy" in hand for some reason. You write the story.

"Greased Lightning"
These five cowboys with slickers flying are making a dash for cover. Being horseback is not a safe place to be during a lightning storm. I have a feeling they'll make it home safely, and they'll have a good story to tell.

"Sandstone Sentinel"
This painting was commissioned by the Amarillo Chamber Of Commerce to promote Palo Duro Canyon. It is the last time I painted the Lighthouse formation on location. Jeanne and I are getting too old to lug my paints and french easel the six miles required. If you look closely at this painting, you might find a visitor to the Lighthouse. I don't know how far he traveled.

"Patience And Determination"
When you're a kid, height is a problem, especially when you're trying to get on your horse. I think this young cowgirl has got it solved. My granddaughter Marley was the model for this painting. I enjoy using my grandkids as models except my wife always prays that the painting won't sell.

"The Old Mission"
I enjoy posting churches, especially old adobe missions. This particular church is similar to the one in Alamo Village, a movie set near Brackettville, Texas. It was based on a Spanish Mission is San Antonio in the 1800's.
