"A Chill In The Air"
These cowboys are camping in the open and forgot to bring their coats. They are having to use their saddle blankets for warmth. This painting gave me the opportunity to show how beautiful Navajo style blankets are. I got to show three of them.

"Home Health Care"
There was a time when doctor's made house calls, that still happens in our house since our son Joshua is a doctor. The house in this painting is at Boothill Cemetery in Dodge City, Kansas. I'm constantly looking for stylish Victorian houses. They work well in Old West paintings.

"Thirteen Kinds Of Trouble"
If you've ever tried to drive a group of horses by yourself to a place they've never been before, you'll understand this title. Every horse has it's own agenda. Been there, done that.

"The Horse Thief"
Here's another painting in which the title says it all. This outlaw and his pardner have stolen a small band of horses and are in the process sof making their get-away. With Henry in hand, the horse thief has stopped to take one more look behind him.

"Lee's Bay"
This is one of my favorite Plein Air paintings that I did on Creekwood Ranch. I feel blessed to get to paint beautiful Quarter Horses in the Palo Duro Canyon (especially when they stand still).

"Sharin' A Sandwich"
This young cowboy is offering his horse a bite of his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The dog is wondering if he'll get a bite. It's amazing what horses will eat. I used to have a horse that loved oranges. He would put the whole thing in his mouth, and when he bit down, juice would squirt out both sides of his mouth.

"The Over-Seers"
This trio is counting their blessings for a good year. This painting was done for the cover of Beef Magazine. They did prints of it. Shannon Brooks was my model with his dearly loved horse, Mobile.

"Ladies First"
This is part of the River Breaks remuda owned by my good friends Bill and Sheri Cornett. I've been blessed to go on that ranch many times and paint their beautiful Quarter Horses. I've even taught a few workshops on "How To Paint A Horse From Life".

"Thunder Road"
In all the years I drove a stagecoach, I never had to do it through a lightening storm. I hope they're not far from the way station. That coach is certainly the highest thing on the prairie.

"The Texans"
This painting was commissioned by Home Interiors, and they asked me to put in as many things that say "Texas" as I could. How many do you see?
