Most people believe that I'm aiming for a photographic image in my paintings, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. I always try to show the joy I feel when painting a horse. I believe you have to show the viewer how you feel about what you're painting. When I'm long gone, I want my great-great grandkids to know something about me when they look at my work.
