"The Fording"

Hot off the easel 30x40 oil on linen.

Stagecoach travel in the Old West was rough and dangerous. The roads weren't level and smooth, and there was always the threat of Indians or Outlaws. There were also many rivers to cross. In all the years I drove a stagecoach, I never attempted to cross a body of water going this fast. Daddy would have killed me. This painting will be available as part of the Cowboy Artists Of America 60th anniversary show in Denver October 3rd.
