I'll tell you an interesting thing about this painting. The horses and rider are coming downhill, so the reflection had to drawn completely differently from the way they were drawn. If you look at it upside down, you'll instantly see what I mean. The reflection is almost totally horizontal compared to the horses and rider that are entering the water at a forty-five degree angle. Thats what I love about water. Anything can happen. I just get to play with the reflection until it looks interesting.
