"Best Pals"
In this painting, I wanted to show the love this young cowboy has for his best friend. I fondly remember every dog in my life. Just the thought of them brings a smile to my face. Did y'all have a special friend when you were growing up?

What a touching piece — the bond between a kid and his dog really is something special. I had a golden retriever growing up who followed me everywhere, and even now, decades later, thinking about him makes me smile. There's something about that unconditional friendship that stays with you forever.
Funny enough, some of my favorite childhood memories also involve rainy afternoons spent indoors playing Fireboy and Watergirl with my little brother while our dog dozed at our feet. Those simple moments of teamwork and laughter are the ones I treasure most. Thanks for sharing this beautiful painting and the memories it stirred up!
